I first met Aysia Marotta years ago when we shot The 1975 together. Since then she’s grown to being a close friend who constantly inspires me and how I work. Throughout the 2020 COVID pandemic, I’ve largely found myself feeling uninspired by photography; a sentiment that I know many of my peers share. Aysia however, has gone on to produce amazing work with her photo-series Come To My Window. The project has seen Aysia photographing friends and family from the street while her subjects are within the safety of their homes; viewing Aysia through their windows. Originally a solitary project, it’s become a collaborative project with other photographers around the world taking part. Within this episode, I chat with Aysia about how the project came to be and how her work has become a bright spot during these dark times (we also chat about her time touring with Scottish sensation Lewis Capaldi).

Check out Aysia Marotta’s work here and also follow her on Instagram and Twitter.

Aysia Marotta is a photographer that has toured with The 1975, Pale Waves, Lewis Capaldi & more. Within this episode, she chats to Ken Grand-Pierre about how her photo-project, Come To My Window, has made the COVID pandemic more bearable for her friends and family.
