Bonus Episode: Yoke Lore

In a lot of ways, today’s bonus podcast is being released at exactly the right time. Half of the listeners of this podcast are European or Australian, so they’ll be unfamiliar with Thanksgiving, but in a weird way, I’ve noticed that this time of year has a resounding effect worldwide. You know what I mean, it’s that time where the hours feel both longer and shorter in almost equal measure, where none of us know what’s up and what’s down, and regardless of visible clocks, we have no idea what bloody time it is. I say all that to say, this is the perfect time for the “beautiful ramble” of the season, which pretty much sums up today’s podcast.

My guest is my friend Adrian Galvin, aka Yoke Lore. He’s a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who blurs the line between analog and electronic instrumentation, all while looking cool while playing the banjo. All jokes aside, Adrian is a beautifully talented artist, the kind of artist whose music embraces you like a warm coat while you navigate the cold snap of life.

Part of what makes his music so great is how clear it is that creativity is all-encompassing for him, which is exactly what we explore on today’s podcast. We also delve deeply into the score that he crafted for Pink Skies Ahead, the directorial debut of writer/director/Adrian’s partner, Kelly Oxford.

After you hear the episode, be sure to check out Yoke Lore’s track Seeds on the official New Exchange Playlist. Also, follow Yoke Lore on Spotify, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
