KAYE

Charlene Kaye is a one of a kind artist in more ways than one. Since being a teenager, music has been at the center of her life and she’s made that passion the focal point of her adult life. From Harry Potter rock bands to Guns N’ Roses cover bands, to eventually one of Brooklyn’s best groups, San Fermin; it’s been an amazing ride. Now she’s releasing music solo (under the moniker KAYE). She’s released EP’s before but is prepping to release her first proper solo album. Throughout 2020 she’s released a slew of singles that feel fully realized in both lyrics and sound. Within this episode, she chats about what it’s been like to put herself at display for the world to see, what songwriting can teach you about yourself and navigating the world as an Asian American artist.
