Something that we can all relate to is that strange experience of needing to re-address how we view work. Specifically, how do you reconcile with the fact that an established way of doing things just doesn’t work for you? This question is exactly what Israeli producer/musician Noga Erez had to ask herself as she worked on her sophomore album, KIDS. The end result has been an album that’s both critically and commercially acclaimed worldwide; largely due to Noga’s desire to challenge both herself and listeners. Her creativity on KIDS is boundless, each song showcases how much of a student to music Noga is (artists such as PJ Harvey, Björk, and Kendrick Lamar are some of her biggest influences).

But as mentioned above, the road to this album was far from an easy journey, which is exactly what we explore on today’s podcast. I first met Noga a few weeks ago while she was on tour for KIDS and it’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know her. The passion she has for music bleeds into every facet of her life and it’s incredible just how much that authenticity comes through everything that Noga does.

Before we get into the episode, I should also mention that she’ll be dropping a new album on November 5th called KIDS (Against The Machine), which is a body of work that features Noga and her band re-imagining the songs off KIDS as “bold-big band productions.”

After you hear the episode, be sure to check out Noga’s track End of the Road on the official New Exchange Playlist. Also, follow Noga Erez on Spotify, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
