Real Exchanges #1: Music
Welcome to the pilot episode of Real Exchanges! Alright, so what the fuck is this about? The New Exchange is something I’m massively proud of and is growing at a beautiful pace. However, it’s probably obvious that the structure of those talks are more concentrated, due to all the research and months of work that goes into each episode. That lead me to wonder; could I make episodes where I just turned on the mic and let the spontaneity control the flow of the conversation?
That curiosity lead to the birth of Real Exchanges, a new mini-series within The New Exchange. Each episode will center around chatting with my talented friends over a singular topic that we’re passionate about. These talks will be unfiltered, full of laughs, and lightly edited so that natural fervor is kept intact.
Our first topic just had to be about music and who better to kick things off than my peers in music journalism/photography: Aysia Marotta, Dana Pacifico, and Will Oliver. Along with being my peers, they’re also good friends who’ve continuously reignited my passion for music due to their unrelenting love for music.
The plan is to have a few of these episodes sprinkled throughout the seasons of The New Exchange. That said, I’d love to hear your feedback so please be sure to leave a review via Apple Podcasts; it seriously goes a long way in helping out independent podcasts.
