Comedians are fascinating individuals to me. Their sole job is to speak harsh truths in a way that cuts through all the bullshit and makes us laugh uncontrollably. My friend Brittany Brave is the rare kind of comedian who’s able to have no filter while still considering the feelings of others. Throughout 2020, her jokes helped so many people and made those confusing first months of the pandemic more bearable. One of the major things I admire about Brittany is her work ethic, she’s never waited for an opportunity. From producing live shows like Rock Candy at Rockwood Music Hall and The Friday Special at The Tiny Cupboard, Brittany Brave simply knows how to get shit done.

Together we catch up and chat about how comedians need performance to make sense of their own lives, why it’s important to make space for silliness and so much more.
