Bonus Episode: Jed Shepherd

I love being reminded how creatives can do a lot with limited tools at their disposal. HOST, a horror film that takes place within a Zoom call is a firm reminder that quality can come from such trying conditions. Directed by Rob Savage, HOST takes the viewer on a harrowing night where superstitions are tested. On today’s bonus episode, I’m joined by my old friend Jed Shepherd, who co-wrote HOST with Rob and Gemma Hurley (who also stars in the film). Together we chat about how HOST came to be, using the COVID-19 pandemic to a creative advantage and what it’s been like to see it become this wild success (HOST currently rests at 100% at Rotten Tomatoes). I’ve known Jed for many years now, since I was a teenager! He’s such a lovely guy, always willing to make you laugh and he’s a true film geek through and through.

Check out HOST via Shudder. Also, be sure to follow Jed Shepherd on Instagram and Twitter.

Surprise! I'm joined today by Jed Shepherd, producer & co-writer of HOST, the surprise smash hit horror film; available now via Shudder. On this episode we chat about why the COVID-19 pandemic was a perfect time to make a film with your friends, overcoming the challenges of making a film via Zoom & so much more.
