Bonus Episode: Shura

One of the most unexpected things about the covid pandemic is how it’s made us seek solace with older mediums. Like many, I’ve found myself indulging in video games and have found them instrumental at not only soothing stress but also transporting my mind to other worlds. My friend Shura is also someone who’s found joy in video games during lockdown, going as far as becoming a streamer on Twitch. Yes, I am talking about the same British musician who’s released two timeless albums in the form of Nothing’s Real and Forevher.

Never one to be idle, 2020 saw Shura making a name for herself at Twitch. Her personality is such an obvious go-to for streaming and she’s provided laughter, warmth and has helped fans feel a little less lonely during the never-ending lockdowns. On today’s episode, I chat with Shura about what it’s actually been like to stream video games on Twitch, how video games are truly pieces of art and truth be told, we just geek out over our shared love of video games.

Be sure to catch Shura streaming on Twitch. Also, follow her on Spotify, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Video games have the ability to transport players to other worlds, which is exactly what I explore on today's bonus episode with British musician Shura. 2020 saw Shura making a name for herself as a game streamer on Twitch.

Also, be sure to check out Shura’s latest single, Obsession, which is part of the deluxe edition of forevher (out digitally March 26).
