Michael C. Hall (yes the actor who played Dexter), Peter Yanowitz and Matt Katz-Bohen make up Princess Goes to The Butterfly Museum; a New York City-based outfit that takes an uncompromising approach to creativity. The evidence of that creativity is clear throughout their debut album, THANKS FOR COMING (out now). This body of work is an exhilaratingly emotive collage of sounds that jumps across the worlds of industrial, electronica, and even soul. Imagine talking to a person who loves Blondie, Nina Simone and Nine Inch Nails in equal measure and you’re close to having this band figured out.

In this episode, I chat with all 3 members of the band about how this has been Michael C. Hall’s first experience in a band, the beauty behind the word ‘eclectic’ and yes, of course we talk about David Bowie.

This band reminds me of a quote from James Vincent McMorrow’s episode in season 1sometimes you need to look at the boxes people want to place you in and say fuck these boxes

After you hear the episode, be sure to check out Eat An Eraser on the official New Exchange Playlist. Also, follow Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum on Spotify, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
